11-year old warrants served on drug suspect

A check with the National Crime Information Center enabled sheriff’s officers to serve arrest warrants on a 40-year old OconeeCounty man.  Those arrest warrants naming Chad Tyron Lee of the Campbell Bridge Road date back to the year 2003.  According to the arrest announcement, Lee had gone to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office to change his address—a requirement of those individuals who are on the sex offender registry.  The charges against Lee accuse him of distribution of crack cocaine April 4, 2003 on Sixth Street in Seneca.  Lee was arrested yesterday.  He has since been released from jail, pending trial, on a personal recognizance bond of $20 thousand.
