11-year prison sentence handed down

Charges of domestic violence high and aggravated and failure to stop for a blue light were disposed of when a defendant pleaded guilty this morning in the Oconee General Sessions Court.  The cases against James Bradley Moody had been listed for a trial, but that changed when Moody entered the plea.  Judge Scott Sprouse pronounced a sentence that sends Moody to prison for 11 years.  Moody was arrested November 19, 2015 in the Timberlake Drive area near Townville.  Officers confiscated a knife.  Defense attorney Danny Day said the incident involved “former lovers.”
