130 bike riders here this weekend

Once again, Seneca and Oconee play host to a Road Titans 300 bicycle ride.  Ken Sloan, director of the Mountain Lakes CVB, estimates 130 riders will set out on adventure Friday, Saturday and Sunday over some of the hilliest roads in Oconee, Pickens and Greenville counties.  These are not your leisurely-paced bike riders.  Sloan says those who signed up for the ride welcome the hills as a test of endurance.  The field will break up into small numbers of cyclists for the ride.  Motorists passing by are asked to be careful for safety sake.  There are a couple of opportunities for the public to meet and see the cyclists in large numbers, and both of them will take place at Seneca’s Ramcat Alley.  They’ll be there for Jazz on the Alley Thursday night and again around 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon after all the riding is done.
