246 grams of marijuana seized in I-85 drug bust

Arabia Machen A traffic stop by Oconee deputies this week on I-85 resulted in drug charges against an Atlanta Metro area woman and the seizure of 246 grams of marijuana. The Sheriff’s Office has announced that Arabia Machen, 36-year old Decatur, Georgia resident, was jailed in Walhalla on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. According to deputies, they stopped Machen for following too close to a vehicle in front of her. The traffic stop took place late Tuesday morning on I-85 northbound at exit 4. Deputies say they found the marijuana wrapped in plastic bags inside a picnic basket in the trunk of Machen’s vehicle.
