25-year old Westminster man arrested

November and December burglaries near West Union and Westminster have led the Oconee Sheriff’s Department to arrest a 25-year old man on multiple charges. Thomas Edwin Turner of Hobson Street, Westminster was being held in Oconee Jail Thursday night on charges of burglary and larceny. Three of the burglaries occurred during the night time of November 27 and 28 in the Hideaway Point neighborhood near West Union. They occurred in a storage unit and two campers and netted a thief or thieves household goods that included a vacuum cleaner, silverware, X-boxes and Playstation games, DVD movies, fishing poles and reels, propane tanks. In the Westminster area burglary, on Latirobe Road nearly one month later, a garage owner came home from church and discovered tools missing, as well as a variety of meats and pizza.
