Powdered activated carbon may do the trick!

drinkingwater The city of Clemson reports that the taste and odor issues with its water should improve in the next few weeks because of a powdered activated carbon system installed in the treatment plant of the Anderson Regional Water System. The ARJWS is currently adjusting the dosage to treat the water in a manner to improve taste and odor for Clemson customers among the nearly 200 thousand served by the regional system. According to Clemson, the discoloration caused by a recent water line break is no longer a problem, as the ARJWS flushed the transmission lines feeding all of its providers and is now delivering water that is clear of discoloration.
