30-year prison sentence

In Anderson, Shaine David Fischer pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to murder for his involvement in the deaths of Tony McGinnis and Andrea Kelley Mitchell. Judge Letitia Verdin sentenced Fischer to a total of 30 years—15 years on each of two counts and to be served consecutively. The Anderson Sheriff’s Office found the dis-membered bodies of McGinnis and Mitchell two years ago this month inside barrels in Lake Hartwell. Tips from a missing person report filed in the disappearance of Tony McGinnis led to the discovery of the bodies.
