4 a-m UPDATE from SC DOT

The storm moved from the upstate and midlands, but will affect the upper coastal plains and the Pee Dee until mid day. Snowfall accumulated 1 to 3 inches and freezing rain fell near the coast. Most roads this morning remain hazardous, and the state recommends no travel unless necessary. Among Oconee accidents reported are Coneross Creek Road and Friendship Road. Road surfaces in Oconee, Pickens, Greenville and Spartanburg range between 16 and 21 degrees.
