50 new jobs destined for Anderson

Anderson County can count on 50 new jobs. According to an announcement today from the office of Governor Haley, packIQ on American Way in Anderson will make a $2.1 million investment to meet an increased demand for packaging solutions. The expansion means a complete shipping rack fabrication facility, with powder coat paint and polyurea coating systems. The company started in 2000 as a supplier of packaging products to the automotive industry and has since expanded to include aerospace and defense, armed forces, heavy truck and power sports. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a set aside grant of nearly $160 thousand for infrastructure improvements related to the project.
