“75 or more” new jobs promised

An economic development project known publicly only by its code-name “Tau”—spelled T-A-U—promises as many as 75 new jobs in Oconee County, according to Administrator Scott Moulder. The County Council last night approved a fee-in-place-of tax deal for the new employer, along with an inducement agreement resolution for what’s described as a new company. Details on the project are expected by the last of two more required readings of the fee-in-lieu of tax deal.
