A 101.7/WGOG NEWS correction

An official of the Greater Oconee Chamber of Commerce in Seneca says  101.7/WGOG’s story on the possibility of three chambers of commerce becoming one contained an error.  Ed Halbig said, “We are not looking for an executive director at this time.  Instead, we are discussing the chambers coming together. The article gives the impression that we have a position to offer and that our chamber would oversee the others.  Neither is correct.”  Discussion of the chambers in Seneca, Walhalla, and Westminster coming together is now before the boards of the three chambers.  Chamber officials stress that the idea would be to maintain chamber offices in all three towns.
