A farewell tonight in Salem

It’s graduation weekend in Oconee where one of the ceremonies will make history.  The seniors at Tamassee-Salem High School are receiving the final diplomas in that school’s history.  The school is closing and its students are being re-assigned to the Walhalla attendance zone.  One Tamassee-Salem graduate tonight, Randall Martin, intends to perform a song he has written about the closing of the school.  Principal Steve Moore says it is a moving song and Martin will sing it during the early part of tonight’s ceremony. The senior classes at Seneca, Walhalla, and West-Oak have scheduled Saturday morning ceremonies on their football fields.
