A moment of silence to remember 9-11

A meeting in Seneca this morning opened with a moment of silence to remember September 11, 2001.  Ed Halbig, at the start of a public policy chat at the offices of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce, called for the moment of silence and told the group that those killed 14 years ago were a lot like those in this morning’s meeting audience—going about their normal routines.  Senator Tim Scott said, “Today we honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives that day in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia and open our hearts and our arms to their families.”
