A morning to try out the sleds!

A moderate snowfall has given Oconee County the look of a rare winter wonderland. And the spectacle has not been lost on some of the young at heart. A handful of them have assembled on the grounds of the hilly Walhalla Community Depot at Kaufman Square to go sledding. Depending on where you are the accumulation is ranging between three and five inches—-six inches reported at Long Creek.  DOT crews in Oconee, Pickens and Greenville counties have been pushing snow in the mountain regions.  Road conditions range from wet to slushy. For now, the snow has stopped. But, according to forecasts, if certain things develop we could be looking at as much as 10 inches of snowfall by Saturday this week.
