A new “Made in Oconee” video

The Oconee Economic Alliance celebrated the fifth annual national Manufacturing Day celebration with the release of the third video in the Made In Oconee campaign. The newest video highlights the change in perception of Oconee County students when they see the inside of a manufacturing facility. Manufacturing Day occurs on the first Friday of October annually. According to the Manufacturing Day website, Manufacturing Day “addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is – and what it isn’t.”  The Oconee Economic Alliance wanted to know what students in Oconee County really thought about manufacturing so, after asking them, they showed them. They took three Oconee County students to Itron in West Union.
