A night for awards at the City Hall!

Seneca’s regular September meeting of the mayor and city council was a night for honors and recognition at City Hall. A member of the Keowee Key Community, Greg Hammill, used the forum to formally thank “CAT”—Clemson Area Transit—for its generosity in providing shuttle service to transport wounded Marines between Keowee Key and Seneca for the annual “Honoring their Service” night at Gignilliat Field. Hammill presented a plaque of appreciation to two “CAT” representatives. They, in turn, gave the plaque to Mayor Dan Alexander—a sign of the city’s long-standing run as a “CAT”customer. Seneca last night recognized Boy Scout Brian Heape for a project that Brian took upon himself to undertake. Working to attain Eagle Scout, Brian is going to make some enhancements to the historic Blue Ridge Field–the scene of recent vandalism. And, to assist the scout, the city will dig into its general fund for $1 thousand.
