The co-owner of Oconee’s only remaining book store is partnering with to two Greenville residents to open a new book store in that city’s downtown. Trish Lightweis and her partners have a name for their project, but an exact downtown Greenville location to be determined later. “The biggest stumbling block that we have at this time is to find a space that is large enough to house what we want to do,” Lightweis told 96.3/WGOG NEWS. She and her partners, Ashley Warlick and Samantha Wallace, have their sights on Greenville because the downtown, for years, has been without a book store. Lightweis and her husband, Allen, are the now 25-year owners of the Booksmith at Dogwood Plaza, Seneca. “We don’t see the Booksmith closing. We’ve had such tremendous support. We have a wonderful staff that has been extremely supportive of us,” she said.
