Access Health project marks two years

This month marks the second-year anniversary of a program that helps local and area low income, under-insured adults improve their health and lives. Mountain Lakes Access Health serves residents of Oconee County and parts of Pickens County, in Clemson, Central and Six Mile. Heather Goss, executive director, says the program has helped more than 325 adults gain access to important services. The current program enrollment is 180 individuals. Most primary care doctors in the community are participating providers, but there’s still the need for more. The program is funded by private donations and a grant from The Duke Endowment. Anyone interested in learning more about the program and its services is encouraged to call 864/885-7341.
