Accused attacker swung a machete

A young Seneca man has been jailed by sheriff’s officers in the investigation of an incident near Carson Road. The Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Jarrett Lee Honeycutt and a warrant charging the 18-year old with assault and battery first degree. Four deputies showed up on Wood Gate Drive Thursday night after being told that a machete was used during an altercation there. The officers took statements from Honeycutt and a second man, who they later determined to have been the victim. The deputies quote the victim as saying there was shoving involved and, at one point, Honeycutt swung a machete. Paramedics treated the victim for injuries to his hands.
