Accused murderer sat in jail one year before bond set

A man accused of committing murder near Seneca a year ago sat in jail nearly a year before getting the opportunity to make bail. But that changed a couple of weeks ago when a judge reconsidered earlier rulings that denied bail. On November 12, Tenth Circuit Judge Alex Macaulay set bonds totaling $200 thousand dollars for defendant Joshua Randall Ferguson. He’s charged with the murder in the shooting death of Charles Benson Cantrell. Ferguson remains in the Oconee Detention Center, awaiting trial.
