Additional charges filed in Salem shooting

Police filed additional charges Wednesday against a Salem man following his arrest Tuesday night in connection with a shooting on Clearcut Drive. Thirty-one year-old Justin David Crenshaw was arrested in a traffic stop and cited for failure to stop for a blue light. A warrant was out for Crenshaw for attempted murder, first degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime in regards to the shooting. According to Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Jimmy Watt, three additional individual’s were charged as a result of the traffic stop that netted Crenshaw. Arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine – 1st offense were 17 year-old Kaitlin Ashley Galloway of Stamp Creek Road, 19 year old Kristen Nicole Carter of Jess Crenshaw Road, and 25 year-old Travis Trent Lollis of Jonathan Drive. Watt says those charges stem from a large amount of methamphetamine found during an inventory of the vehicle being driving by Crenshaw. In addition, Crenshaw has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine – 2nd offense. Thirty-eight year-old Jason Scott Alexander of Salem turned himself in to police on Tuesday in connection with the shooting. He is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and first degree burglary. Police have not revealed a motive for the shooting and the victim’s name and condition has not been released.
