Additional diplomas awarded

Sixty-one people are carrying a high school diploma from Oconee County who previously had no sheepskin to their credit.  According to the school district announcement, by the deadline December 31 a total of 97 applications were processed.  From that number, the district granted diplomas to 61 of the applicants.  The remaining 36 were judged ineligible under the provisions of the expiring state law Act 155.
