Adjusting the articles of incorporation

The entity that manages Seneca-owned properties, such as the former Pro Pex building that is being restored for economic development, is changing some of the articles of its incorporation. City Administrator Greg Dietterick advised the mayor and city council last night that the adoption of an amendment to the articles of incorporation are aimed at qualifying the Seneca Facilities Corporation for non-profit 501-c3 status with IRS. Dietterick chairs the Facilities Corporation. In answer to questions from Councilman Stuart Pohl, Dietterick said the move safe guards the corporation’s profits, which must revert to the city for the purpose of offsetting general funds.
