Administrator revises project funding statement

An Oconee School District administrator has new information on what’s going to be required for design work in the Workforce Development Center planned for the county’s Information and Technology Park on highway 11.  Steve Hanvey, assistant superintendent for education, had told county trustees Monday that a decision by the county against building an economic development office in the complex would change the funding formula for the pre-design work.  Hanvey now says he has received revised information to indicate that neither the Oconee School District, nor Tri-County Technical College, will have to bear more of the design cost burden than what was originally decided.  Hanvey’s new statement is airing today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS.
