Afternoon highlights from Rice trial in Florida

For the defense, a clinical psychologist says it is “unmistakable” that an Oconee County resident on trial this week suffers from psychotic disorders. The trial of Michael Rice is in its third day in Sarasota County, Florida. It’s there that Rice, a former Oconee fire fighter, is accused of murder of Phillipe Nahon near a bar at a hotel in a small Gulf Coast town. Newspaperman Drew Winchester, covering the trial, says a Florida state prosecutor has begun attacking the doctor’s testimony about the defendant.
