Alabama will extradite

An Oconee sheriff’s officer says two men inside a vehicle which pulled over yesterday for a routine traffic stop have been determined to be wanted on charges in Alabama, and the state often referred to as the Cotton State will extradite. The traffic stop, initiated by officer Mayer yesterday afternoon on the Shiloh Road near Seneca, took place after the officer said he spotted the vehicle crossing the center line. Inside were two men, one from Walhalla and the other from Alabama. No immediate word on the nature of the Alabama charges. The two men were being held in the Oconee Jail while the officer seeks warrants charging fugitive from justice.
