All-electric “CAT” service draws attention in Seneca

January 28 002 After meeting last night at City Hall the Seneca mayor, council members, and others boarded a “CAT” bus for a trip to their Pro Pex building on Shiloh Road, where the city is developing an industrial park. The location includes the terminal for the city’s all-electric buses. And it was that part of the complex that City Administrator Greg Dietterick and Clemson Area Transit officials were eager to show off. Dietterick also invited the mayor and the council to help greet a group of their visiting counterparts from the city of Rock Hill. On Friday the Rock Hill visitors will ride a route on one of the electric buses and have a look at the terminal on Shiloh Road. According to Dietterick, Rock Hill leaders are very interested in the possibility of acquiring all-electric buses for their city and are in contact with bus-maker Proterra of Greenville.
