Allegations of drug violations disrupt home life

A mother near Seneca has been arrested on drug charges and her two young children have been placed in protective custody.  Oconee Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Brenna Michelle Graham on charges that she exposed the children in the manufacture of methamphetamine. A Friday morning welfare check at Graham’s home on Knollcrest Drive led to what officers say was the discovery of multiple meth labs.  Two children, one month old and 11 months old, were taken into emergency protective custody and were turned over to the Department of Social Services, where they are being placed in a safe environment.  The charges against the mother, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the presence of a minor, are felonies and  carry a penalty of not more than 5 years in prison or a fine of not more than $5,00, or both.
