Ambulances collide in Walhalla

As the result of an accident yesterday in Walhalla, one of two Oconee Memorial Hospital ambulances involved in the accident was disabled. The accident yesterday morning on W. S. Broad Street involved two ambulances on their way to a call. Hunter Kome, president of the Oconee Medical Campus, said none of the EMS personnel was injured, nor was there any patient involved. Kome described the accident as a rear-end collision and said, on impact, the airbags deployed in one of the vehicles. The police say one of the ambulances required a tow.
