An admission of guilt

A young man pleaded guilty today in the Oconee General Sessions Court to murder and other charges.  Judge Letitia Verdin accepted the plea entered by James William Toward, but an explanation of the facts involved and the sentencing were deferred until Wednesday.  Toward is now the second person to have pleaded guilty in the January 2014 shooting death in Utica of Robert Andrew Johnson.  Previously, co-defendant Donte Robert Bacon pleaded guilty, but his sentencing was deferred until the resolution of the case involving Toward, his co-defendant.
