An “Award of Excellence” for Oconee Economic Alliance

The magazine Expansion Solutions has included the Oconee Economic Alliance as a “Top Five” economic development organization for Metal Fabrication.  The award recognizes Oconee’s public-private partnership for exceptional progress in recruiting new business and working with existing industries.  Glenn Buddin, chairman of the board of directors, said, “The Metal Fabrication industry within Oconee County is a strong part of our local economy with companies such as BorgWarner and Schneider Electric.”  Others recognized within the Metal Fabrication were Bowie Economic Development Corporation of Texas, Birmingham Business Alliance of Alabama, Cedar Hill Economic Development Corporation of Texas, and Quad Cities First of Iowa.
