An honor for the Clemson campus police

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety has bestowed on the Clemson University police a statewide honor. For mid-sized law enforcement agencies, employing 26 to 50 officers, the Clemson University Police Department was named 2014 Public Safety Agency of the Year. The state Department of Pubic Safety recognizes officers and agencies for their work to uphold DUI laws and their efforts to remove impaired drivers from South Carolina roads—along with victim services and programs to prevent underage drinking. Last year Clemson campus police made 68 arrests alleging DUI.
