Seneca passed a 2012 referendum to allow Sunday alcohol sales within its corporate limits. The question 96.3/WGOG NEWS is getting this morning is whether the voters across Oconee County would look favorably on such a proposition. Dick Cottingham, as representative of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce Task Force for Sunday Sales, is on the agenda to make a presentation next week to the Oconee County Council. Cottingham will request a space on the ballot this November for the electorate to make the decision. Council’s meeting begins at 6 Tuesday night at the county administrative complex in Walhalla.
