Announcement by Sanctuary Pointe

Sanctuary Pointe developers call what they plan to do at an Oconee County Lake Hartwell peninsula off I-85 a flagship tourism project that’s to be the first major step in the state’s tourism plan for the upstate. At 6:30 tonight at South Union Baptist Church, the developers and the state Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism will welcome the public for an information meeting. In advance of tonight’s meeting, principals in the project say,” Sanctuary Pointe will provide guests and visitors an opportunity to experience Lake Hartwell through its resort harbor facilities and boating activities, while the business community will be able to utilize its four-star resort hotel and conference center for meetings and conferences. The public will also have access to a variety of amenities and offerings, including an 18-hole resort golf course and performance center, restaurant, and various activities on and off the water. Visiting guests and families looking for moderately priced hospitality can come to Sanctuary Pointe and stay at its limited services hotel at the entrance of the property.”
