Answers to Veterans Administration Benefits

A representative from the Veterans Administration will be available next week to answer questions regarding benefits for Military Veterans in Oconee County. Mia Temple will be available Tuesday July 16 at 6 pm at the Seneca American Legion Post on North Fairplay street. Temple is a Veterans Administration medical representative from the Dorn VA Medical center of Columbia. Ms. Temple will be accompanied by Janice Matheson, Oconee’s Assistant Director of Veterans affairs. The program is free and is sponsored by Marine Corps League Detachment 1131. Jim Stone, the senior vice commander says there have been significant changes in VA programs which affect those who are currently receiving or plan to receive VA medical benefits. The goal of the program is to provide informative information on how these changes may affect beneficiaries. Stone encourages attendees to bring their spouses as well.
