Anticipated service from Bountyland tower

A Verizon representative predicts a new communications tower will be finished and on-the-air for service from Bountyland by the middle part of next year.  Officials involved in the permitting and real estate dealings required to put up a 95-foot monopole on SC 28/the Blue Ridge Boulevard have responded to cell phone customers’ inquiries received by 101.7/WGOG NEWS.  Jim La Pann, zoning specialist for the real estate company Faulk and Foster, said, “…I appeared in Oconee County to obtain permission to construct and maintain a cell tower at 1642 Blue Ridge Boulvard, Seneca, SC.  This approval was obtained on August 25, 2015.”  Verizon’s Karen Schulz followed LaPann by saying, “We have completed all real estate requirements and are ready to begin construction, so we anticipate a mid-2016 completion date and on-air date for that site.”
