Apartment complex scene of shooting and drug probe
The Seneca police chief says the investigation of a shooting Monday night at an apartment complex led to the discovery of a methamphetamine laboratory. And, for much of yesterday, one building at Fair-Oaks Village on Lindsay Road was off-limits while a contract service decontaminated the building. Chief John Covington says his officers investigated what appears to have been a self-inflicted accidental gun shot that wounded a woman, who was sent to a Greenville hospital for treatment. Covington says while the police investigated the shooting, they found a meth lab. The investigation continued through much of yesterday, and Covington indicates the likelihood that arrests warrants will be pursued today.
