199 Keowee Business Parkway in Seneca is the address where a maker of plastics and injection molding will establish a new operation. Reports today vary on the number of jobs to be created—from 68 to 77. Richard Blackwell of Oconee Economic Alliance says they are to be good paying jobs. The new manufacturer is Plastic Products Company—established in 1962 and is a 100% employee-owned company headquartered in Lindstom, Minnesota. The new Seneca venture will be the company’s eighth location and its first in South Carolina. It plans to start operations with a small team of existing employees before hiring new employees for permanent positions beginning next month. Applicants interested in employment may send their resumes to [email protected]. The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project. And last night Oconee County Council approved a fee in place of tax arrangement.
