Are you prepared for winter storm?

South Carolina wants all of its residents to know about ice and snow and the importance of staying connected for emergency information during winter’s bad weather. This is the first time that the state of South Carolina, together with the National Weather Service, has co-sponsored Winter Weather Awareness Week. Maj. Gen. Robert Livingston, South Carolina Adjutant General, offers this advice, “Be prepared, prepare yourself and if an event occurs, do not go out.” According to National Weather forecaster Steven Naglic, one quarter of an inch of ice can bring down a power line….” This Sunday, December 7, the state Severe Winter Weather Guide will be distributed by subscription and rack sales of all daily newspapers in South Carolina and will be available to 96.3/WGOG listeners in the Journal, the Greenville News, and the Anderson Independent-Mail.
