At this holiday time of the year, an Army officer from Mountain Rest stationed across continents is thinking of home. Likewise, Scott Moore is being thought of here at home. After receiving an email hello today from Afghanistan, 96.3/WGOG will pursue a telephone interview with Lt. Col. Bradley Scott Moore. He’s serving in Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Moore commands a security transition team which involves advising a battalion from the Afghan National Army and the Afghan Uniformed Police. His parents are Mack and Sara Moore, who are active in the Mountain Rest Community. His brother, Steve, serves as principal of Tamassee-Salem High/Middle School. And his sister, Audrey, teaches at Walhalla’s James Brown Elementary.
