Arrest in winter time house burglary

Law enforcement reports show a 26-year old Oconee County man arrested and charged with burglary second degree and simple larceny at a house that belonged to a deceased woman. The woman’s son discovered the crime when he went to the home on the Shiloh Road and found it ransacked. According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Department, Michael Lane Crooks Jr. of Seneca is accused of stealing a window air-conditioning unit worth $350 dollars. The burglary is believed to have occurred between January 21 and February 21.
