Arrest made four months after home burglary

A 40-year old man has been jailed in Oconee on charges from a summer time home burglary near Salem. The crime occurred on Jasmine Tea Lane.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, Joseph Alvin McWhite was charged with first degree burglary and grand larceny.  White has given authorities two addresses:  Pelzer and Greenville.  Oconee investigators believe McWhite entered the home and took jewelry and guns.  The victims say that most of what was stolen has been recovered.
