Oconee Sheriff’s Office arrested a 30-year old man after he was reported to have run from the scene of a shoplifting incident yesterday at Wal-Mart store on the Sandifer Boulevard. A sheriff’s officer tracked the suspect to the Wal-Green drug store at 123 and the Wells Highway. Arrest records show Clint Robert Liedlich of Posey Lane, Westminster charged with shoplifting items with a value of $2 thousand or less. The Sheriff’s Office received information that the shoplifting suspect, after allegedly stealing medicine and other items, ran from Wal-Mart in the direction of a pizza restaurant, then toward another restaurant, and finally in the direction of the corner drug store. Before taken to jail, Liedlich was sent to the hospital after complaining about his left leg, according to the officer’s report.
