Arrest part of a continuing investigation

The Seneca police say the arrest of one man is part of a continuing investigation of bank crimes.  The police this week arrested a 22-year old man, Adrian Lee Lewis Jr., on the charge of crimes against a federally chartered/insured financial institution.  An affidavit signed by investigator John Crum and warrant issued by Municipal Judge Danny Singleton alleges Lewis  entered the South Carolina State Credit Union October 21 and presented a check in the amount of $1,561.00 made out to him and drawn off the Bank of America account of a second person and the check was returned as non-sufficient funds.  It further alleges Lewis went to three other Credit Union offices within 24 hours and presented three other checks for similar amounts—all of which authorities say were returned for insufficient funds.
