Arrests Made In April Drive-by

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has charged two people in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred in April in Seneca. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jimmy Watt says 35 year-old Ronnie Joe Patterson, Jr., of Lonsdale Street has been charged with attempted murder and additional weapons charges. Police say Patterson fired a gun at a residence while driving on Thatcher Road in Seneca on April 21 in a attempt to kill the man sitting on the front porch of the residence. Patterson is currently being held in Allendale, following a June 4th arrest here in Oconee County on outstanding warrants. Also charged, as an accessory after the fact of a felony, is 35 year-old Timothy Wayne Owens of Spring Valley Road. Owens was arrested on Saturday afternoon, but was released on a personal recognizance bond a short time later. He is accused of helping Patterson in an attempt to sell the firearm used in shooting.
