Assault report investigated

Police rushed to a home near Walhalla at 11 this morning after getting a report that someone had been assaulted with a baseball bat. The injured person, identified as a male, was being examined by EMS workers from Oconee hospital at a trailer home on E. South Boundary near Spring Street. And a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office said the case is being investigated.
