Attack on Sassafras cycling event

September 20, 2012

Tri-County Technical College announces an all-day event next month for cyclists to take on a challenging climb. “Attack on Sassafras” will be an all-day event Saturday, October 13 as a way to raise money for the ChildWatch Center at the Easley YMCA. Starting that morning at Tech’s Easley campus, cyclists will ride through Easley and Pickens and then take on a challenging climb to South Carolona’s highest point–Sassafras Mountain (3,353 ft.) Dr. Brian Swords, director of the Easley campus, says, “Canadian cyclists use this as a practice run for their cycling events.” For more information, visit www.attackonsassafras.com.
