Attacker sought in violent Utica street crime

Nearly a week later, Oconee investigators are still looking for a man who attacked a motorist at a 4-way stop intersection in Utica near Seneca.  And the Sheriff’s Office is willing to pay a cash reward to those who can provide the information that solves last weekend’s crime.  A driver sat in his car on Lonsdale Street.  He was approached by a pedestrian who asked for directions.  The driver rolled down the window, but was punched in the face by the pedestrian who wanted the driver’s wallet.  The driver got away and later at the hospital made a report to a deputy of what happened.  Investigators believe the attacker spoke with an accent, stands 5’ 8” to 5’ 10”, weighs between 175 to 185 pounds and wore a black jacket, red beanie hat, and a chinstrap beard.  If you can provide information helpful to solving this crime, call 638-STOP.
