Attempted murder of a police officer

The police in Anderson are asking for the public’s help this week to solve an incident in which an attempt was made to kill one of the department’s officers.  Around 2 o’clock on the morning of November 16, Officer Kristin Brady encountered a masked individual on the dead end of Edenbrook Drive in the Oak Ridge subdivision near Miracle Mile Drive.  According to Police Chief Jim Stewart, as Brady got out of her vehicle she did not have time to radio her location.  The officer was physically assaulted as she tried to pull her gun from her holster and, according to the police chief, “an intense physical altercation” followed.  The state police are assisting the Anderson police.  If you can help solve the crime, contact the Anderson police.
