Attempted Murder Suspect Sought

Police in Clemson are searching for a man in connection with a Saturday afternoon shooting which sent two people to the hospital. Authorities are searching for 23 year old  Jaron Lamont Gibbs on 2 counts of attempted murder. Authorities say the suspect was stopped in a vehicle at the intersection of Issaqueena Trail and Cambridge Drive in Clemson, when the victims pulled up behind the suspect in another vehicle. According to Clemson Police, the suspect is reported to have exited his vehicle, walked to the drivers side of the victim’s vehicle, and pointed a pistol at the driver’s head. The driver pushed the gun away but both the driver and the passenger were struck in the head by a bullet. One victim was taken to Anmed Health while the other was transported to Oconee Memorial Hospital. City of Clemson police say Gibbs is considered armed and dangerous.
